One of my favorite things about fall is all of the rich, dark beers that come out. There are a bunch of local microbreweries in VT and there's always a plethera of seasonal brews about this time. My favorites are Long Trail's Harvest and MAgic HAt's September-October-November Fest (which I've only seen at the brewery unfortunately).

I also find myself drinking more tea at this time of year. I crave it yet barely ever yet drink it like crazy in the fall/winter. I've lately been adding birch syrup to my chai (yum!).

I really enjoy Lindt 70% chocolate bars. In the colder seasons, I treat myself with hot chocolate made with Silk (red carton) plain soymilk with 1 square of the chocolate bar stirred into it. So fast and easy in the MW.
I also tend to drink more chai tea at the same time of year.

Carolyn,
Oh I Love Magic Hat Beers~!
Few yrs ago when I was in New England I tried them. When I lived in Harrisburg,Pa a few pubs & beer distributors carried it. Now that I am in Az. I don't know if I can find it here.
Non -alcoholic drinks I love are pomagrante juice or pomegrant tea!

Though delicious, no beer will give you a hangover like a spiced autumn beer.

How about hot spiced drinks? Mulled wine. Hot apple cider. Either with or without booze. I suggest apple schnapps for cider or wine. Lemon infused vodka or rum can go well too. Hot Toddies made with bourbon, are great for fall or holidays. Hot Buttered Rum crosses seasons too. Make all of these from scratch. It's easy. Mixes are crap

Regards....

Fall Beverages

We all know that almost every national and local brewery makes at least one fall brew. What's your favorite and why?
