Knowing that folks can be very particular about their Mexican food, we have a question for you!

What do you do when the craving for Mexican food strikes?

Choices:
Head over to the authentic Mexican joint down the road
Make it myself—are you kidding? I can't get good Mexican food anywhere near me!
Hit a fast-food Mexican chain

 

Must occasionally get an enchilada verdes fix, and have not found a decent verdes sauce recipe I can pull off at home. Our local joint also makes fantastic fresh made salsa.

Just found a great mole restaurant in Houston, so it is much easier to go there; however, if I want really good Mexican food with a great red sauce, I have to make it myself, which I do--out of New Mexico chili powder. It is especially good on chile rellieno.

The restaurant meals contain way too much fat, so many years ago I bought a Rick Bayless book and-- heaven!
