Parents throughout the country will collaborate with celebrity chef and mother of three, Gale Gand, on an educational cookbook that will address the importance of nutrition education for children, emphasizing a parent’s role in a child’s diet.
Submit your delicious and nutritious wheat-based recipes for a chance to be published alongside those of Chef Gand. Educational facts will complement each individual recipe and enable parents to use the cookbook as a tool with which to teach their children about nutrition, serving sizes and the origin of their food.
***Call for recipes begins September 1, 2007 and closes January 31, 2008. Go to

***Recipes in the categories of breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and snacks must meet the following criteria: wheat-based, nutritious, child-friendly and relatively easy to prepare.
***Web site will feature educational resources to assist parents in creating more nutritious recipes.
***Parents are asked to provide personal tips for encouraging children to make healthier food choices.
***30 recipes from parents will be combined with five exclusive creations from Chef Gand.
***Chefs behind the selected recipes will be acknowledged in the cookbook and receive a complimentary copy signed by Chef Gale Gand.
