Barbecue season is in full swing! What's your favorite food to grill? Gas or charcoal? Do you fire up a smoker as well?
We've been grilling for a few weeks now. A lot of steak and hot dogs (leftover from our Memorial Day weekend BBQ). We got samples of Spiceburst Saltsin the test kitchen and the Chipotle Saltburst has been a favorite at my house! We like to rub it on steak and use it for fajitas--yum!
I also love to grill fruit--especially pineapple and peaches!

Lately my family and I have been cooking up a whole lot of chicken. I sprinkle with a small amount of oil, and dash on some cajun and paprika and rub it all in.
I usually buy a couple pounds of skinless chicken breast and chop up the leftovers and freeze it. All the chicken makes for nice quick, easy, and healthy lunches throughout the week.
Sometimes I throw the chunks in a salad or make a terrific sandwich with an avacoda spread, pineapple, lettuce and thin slices of chicken.
Grilling is definately one of the greatest parts of summer...
I was just listening to The Splendid Table (on Public Radio) and Lynn mentioned "onion water" which is basically pureed onion. She said she was going to try to add some Tabasco and use it as a marinade for barbequed pork. I thought it sounded delicious! I'll definitely be experimenting with this one.
