Does fall inspire you to cook in a different way or stockpile things in your freezer?

I've never been good about freezer stockpiling seasonally. I do try to freeze berries if I go berry picking. But it's hard for me to get motivated to do tomato sauce, salsa or pesto for some reason--I hope to change that.

But I do get a severe hankering for soups. I've been making soups/stews weekly for at least a month how. And I'm desperate to get my slow cooker out!

I was a slow cooking fool this weekend! And just a cooking fool in general. I found a slow cooker cookbook at work and made chili and lentil soup in my crockpot, both which were terrific recipes. I also made Tuscan Pork Loinand Beet Risotto for dinner on Sunday night. I still have so manybeets left from my CSA.
