I tried the raspberry crumb tart. I used unsweetened frozen raspberries. the recipe worked well but the berries were not sweet enough. even with powdered sugar on the top. I don't like very sweet things so if I think it's not sweet enough, well, it's probably not! I talked with someone on another BB who tried the lemon raspberry muffins & she said the same thing. not sweet enough. So not to be a crank, but this is the first thing I think about when I try a EW sweet: how much to "up" the sugar to get the results I want. (In past experiments it's been about 1-2 tablespoons more sugar) You might consider putting in a range for sugar in recipes if this is a common complaint.

I agree - not sweet enough - and I even used fresh raspberries - with a little *extra* powdered sugar! I also thought there was too much leftover almond mixture - a little too dry on the top of the tart. Will definitely tweak and try again, though!
OK, I made the Lemon Raspberry muffins. I put coarse sugar on top before baking. Not sweet enough. I don't think muffins should be as sweet as cake but I could barely detect that these were sweet. Is Patsy Jamieson still around? her muffin recipes were always excellent. Please bring her back.
