Am I looking at this wrong or are there really so few current discussions going on? Wonder why? I am very excited and new and was really counting on experience and encouragement from others who have "walked the mile" and could give advice.

Me too! I just joined today and I could not believe how old these posts are. I was looking forward to getting some new ideas. I turned 49 a few months ago and reality hit me in the face...I'm not as young as I used to be! So, I joined a gym and vowed to start eating healthier. I've tried every diet in the world and have found that the best way is to just eat healthy. I'm weaning myself from meat again...I tried vegan about a year ago, but I just don't have the time or support at home to go that strict. So, vegetarian it will be, maybe with some occaisional fish (my hardest thing to give up is seafood). Looking forward to hearing from someone!

I did well my first two days with recordings and then have not done well since. I have not been taking the time to record and have already become frustrated. I have no discipline...lie to self a lot on the eating thing...like the scales do not tell the truth! Confused Am going to try harder tomorrow. I do not have access to a gym but I have a cabinet full of exercise DVDs, and 500 acres to walk in (but too hot). I just turned 59 and the last 10 years have been my troublesome years with weight..and menopause has not helped that at all!
