Kathye, I would be happy to join in for support, I just finished reading the book and am ready to start today... my challenges are evening time.. I started walking yesterday and need to hit the road today...I noticed your in alaska, I once traveled by boat to eagle.. to catch the mail plane to fairbanks in 1985.. are you near there...beautiful country...

Hi Carol! Very excited to see a post. I have been putting off my start date and I am starting tommarow Tuesday. My husband has been remodeling my kitchen but he finishes today. So I can cook again. Maybe I was waiting for you to join me?
To tell you a little about myself.. I am a 37 yr old mom of two boys (10 and 7), married 15 yrs, have a st bernard and live in Eagle River, Alaska (outside Anchorage). My husband is a Navy officer and we will be moving again next summer on our last assignment. I am about 5'6" 181 lb. With exercise alone I have lost 10 lbs in the lst few months. So, I am motivated that adding proper food will really set things in motion toward my goal. My goal is to be a size 6-8 again. I have been there most of my adult life, but moving to alaska and the long winters put on the lbs. I am very muscular so that size 6-8 I am not sure where that will put me weight wise, but I am geussing in the 140 range. I would love to hear more from you and your goals. Have a great day...

Hi Carol
How did today go? I have to agree with you that the evening is the hardest. After a busy day I find it so tempting to just do pizza with a beer or two. Big rut I have fallen into. I think with just a few days of healthy eating under my belt I will be fine. My dh doesn't really help with the will power either. Do you have good support at home if you are married? I am really excited about starting tommarow. Shopping all done and ready to go. I am going to hit the gym tommarow morning and do a step aerobic class. Have a great night and hope you are doing well.

Hi Ladies-

Not sure when i will start. Have started reading the book, setting my weight loss goals and have been starting to keep a food diary. So i'm not quite where you all are but if i can be a slow poke or late bloomer, i'd love to be on the cheerleading squad. Smiler
