BID NOW! Bid now for your chance to have EatingWell send one of their food editors (a trained cook with a strong nutrition background) to your home to help you learn to shop for and cook healthier meals!
This special two-day program includes:
* A pre-visit food consultation
* A “Pantry Raid” analyzing what foods the winner typically eats and keeps in the household
* Making healthier recommendations
* Taking the winner on a $200 grocery shopping spree
* Teaching techniques for healthier cooking
* Helping the winner choose a menu and then prepare a dinner for six
In addition, winners will receive:
* A collection of three cookbooks from EatingWell: The EatingWell Healthy-in-a-Hurry Cookbook, EatingWell Serves Two, and The EatingWell Diet
* Six subscriptions to EatingWell Magazine that may be kept or given away to friends
Unless the winner prefers to remain anonymous, a story about the Makeover will be posted on EatingWell.com. The program will take place at a mutually agreed-on date, between January 15, 2008 and June 15, 2008, in the continental U.S.
Note: The winner will be responsible for providing the kitchen, cookware and ingredients not included in the $200 shopping spree. This is a participatory event, not a catered dinner party, and both the winner and the EatingWell editor will pitch in on all aspects of the prep, cooking, cleaning and serving of the meal.
100% of all proceeds from the auction will benefit America’s Second Harvest and members of its network.
