Are you like me--do you always have a package of chicken sausage in the fridge or freezer, ready to go for quick, easy meals?

I love putting it in soups or eating them alongside pacakes for breakfast. We tested 27 chicken sausages recently-- read more here.

We have a market here in Cincinnati where we get fresh made chicken sausage with no preservatives. Also it's over 90% lean. We mix some in with eggs in the mornings. Occasionally we'll make something with it for dinner. There are several varieties to choose from ....basil chicken, onion & dill, italian, mediterranian (has olives and artichoke) and hot andouille style.

I avoid smoked and cured meats and nitrates (migraines). So I was thrilled to see Han's All Natural sausages on my last trip to Wild Oats.
I emailed to doublecheck that they meet my dietary requitements and got a very prompt reply.

Here's a list of the chicken sausages:
Andouille - Baton Rouge Brand
Apple - Spokane Brand
Artichoke & Calamata Olives - Santorini Brand
Bratwurst - St. Ingbert Brand
Chorizo - Guadalajara Brand
French Garlic & Cheese - Gilroy Brand
Green Onion - Bermuda Brand
Italian Mild - Siena Brand
Italian Spicy - Palermo Brand
Roasted Red Pepper & Garlic - Santa Fe Brand
Spinach & Feta - Olympus Brand
Sun-dried Tomato & Basil - Sonoma Brand

I've only tried the artichoke and the sun-dried tomato so far. They were both very good, quite lean, and made our rice & beans staple dish nuch more festive.

We had Hans' Zesty Italian in our taste test--it got average marks.
