A recent article I read states that products containing High-fructose corn syrup MAKE you hungry, as it interferes with your body's appetite-control center. While most foods (including those with cane sugar)trigger you stomach to release leptin a protein that turns off huger pangs.

Bev,
I don't know if this is true for everyone but it is definitely a factor with me. I have eliminated HFCS from my diet and find I now have a normal appetite in contrast to the constantly starving feeling I used to have even though I was over eating before.
If I have something sweet now I make sure it is sweetened with a cane sugar product and not HFCS. The strange thing is now I rarely crave the sweets and rarely have them anymore either. I was addicted before.
