Has anyone dealt with this issue and had success by just changing their diet and not by taking pharmaceuticals?
I believe our diet has a lot to do with how we feel physically and I am sure the same is true of how we feel mentally.
I have read that depression is at epidemic level in the USA, what a strange coincidence obesity is as well.

Hi There!

If you can, get the book "The Mood Cure" by Julia Ross. It literally changed my life. Her other book "The Diet Cure" is good as well.

She talks about the biochemistry of depression and how what we eat affects our moods, etc. It's a great read. I was able to get off my meds (but I was on them for "simple" depression, ha ha... is there such a thing?) but have gotten lazy with my supplements and feel the depression returning. It's not a quick or easy fix, but I think it *does* have merit.

Best of luck to you! Depression sucks!

Lo.... trying to be the change I want to see in the world.
