I put 8 ozs. of tap water in a glass and allowed it to evaporate.
Residue in bottom deemed to be inorganic because Chlorax did not dissolve it.
It could be removed by a pencil eraser.
I only use bottled distilled water now.
Tap water still good for washing dishes.

As long as theres no toxic waste in it I'll drink it. A little bit of this and that never hurt anything.

We've been drinking bottled water for years. My husband and I would go through 12 - 1.5 liter bottles from Trader Joe's every week!

In 2008 we've decided to get greener and ditched our plastic bottled water habit.

We ordered a water filter for our tap (Aquasana...LOVE it!) and now use reusable glass bottles (empty Voss ones that my husband gets from the restaurant that he works at) and bottle the water from our filtered tap. Even better now the furbabies, plants and cooking pans all get the filtered water!

I like the convenience of bottled water, although I have had a few brands that taste a bit odd. We do also have a Brita filter, which we use frequently as well. I don't like drinking straight from the tap. It just doesn't taste as good.
