I said a dessert. I also think that it depends on the beer as to whether I'll waste the calories. I won't waste the calories on a horrible beer like Bud but I would waste the calories on a wonderful English beer or porter in a pint glass or a Blue Moon.
As for breakfast pastry, there are so many good whole wheat/whole grain scones and muffins out there, you don't really have to sacrifice health for taste.
I can do without dessert. But I can't live without my Mocha Latte at least twice a week unless I'm thirty miles from one. Which I have been...for almost a month...and I'm going insane. A glass of cold Boulevard is also worth the calories, but after a month of no coffee and no alcohol it's the coffee that I miss the most.
I could actually live without all those things - I like coffe, but I don't need those fancy drinks. And I was never a big fan of chips or morning pastry. I think I would use my calories on a nice glass of wine
With as much sugar and calories, a mocha latte is dessert. And people think of it as a light snack or breakfast.
I voted dessert, though a glass of wine (or two or three) is a given when I'm not pregnant.

Looking at the list, the wine and beer were the only things I would actually consume. No I take that back. It really depends on the amount of sugar I can leave out of a recipe. Had a wonderful coffee mousse today. I small one. I left out half the sugar, and the calorie count was lower.
